About the Job
We are a privately-owned small animal general practice looking to add a new member to our family-oriented, supportive team to help facilitate excellent care of our patients. Open to those with either full time or part time availability, but candidate must be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, as well as reliable transportation/childcare.
- Veterinary knowledge/experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Shepherd software is a plus.
Assistant duties include:
- Assisting Doctors/Technicians with patient care (ie: restraint, venipuncture, radiology, etc.)
- Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms and treatment area
- Collecting history from clients
- Caring for boarding and hospitalized patients
- Monitoring anesthetized patients in surgery
- Preparing lab samples & running in-house tests
Most full-time employees work 3.5 weekdays and rotating weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shifts. We do our best to be flexible with hours and scheduling.
